Position Available: Customer Service Manager

Windspire Energy, a Reno-based clean energy company responsible for bringing the Windspire wind turbine to the market, is hiring a Customer Service Manager. The Windspire is a small-scale vertical axis wind turbine designed for use in urban and suburban areas and is sold through a network of authorized Windspire dealers in the US and internationally. This is a fast-paced environment that requires someone who is resourceful and can switch from one task to the next quickly. As a Customer Service Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Project a positive and professional image through appearance and product knowledge
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Handle and resolve customer and dealer complaints
  • Manage warehouse inventory
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
  • Process orders, forms and requests
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  • Manage customers’ accounts
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Record details of inquiries, comments, complaints and actions taken
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Follow up on customer interactions
  • Manage and plan service trips for Field Service Technician team
  • Plan and conduct periodic dealer training/demos to teach to assemble/install/troubleshoot wind turbine equipment

Requirements & Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering with 4+ years experience in related or similar field
  • Willingness to adapt to fast paced, evolving start-up company work environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent hands-on skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to listen and have sympathy for customer
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • OSHA training or ability to become OSHA certified
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Office and Quickbooks
  • Physical ability to carry and lift tools/parts up to 50lbs
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and circuits
  • Ability to safely assemble or manage assembly of heavy equipment
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and willing to travel throughout the US up to 25% of time and occasional international travel (passport required)
