High School

A clean energy future starts with the education of today’s youth. Elementary, high school and vocational institutions are installing Windspire wind turbines to teach about the power of wind. The installation provides a hands-on learning experience in all facets of wind energy- from siting and wind resource research to measuring energy use and developing conservation programs. The available Wind Sync monitoring software allows students to view energy production in real-time.

University

Windspire wind turbines are designed to be integrated into campuses and offer universities the ability to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut installed 25 Windspires at a new green campus to provide energy for exterior lighting and to show their commitment to a sustainable future for the school and campus. The University of Kansas School of Architecture and Urban Planning incorporated Windspires into its design/build program. The thin profile and silent operation brings wind power to campus in a beautiful and unobtrusive way.
