It Still Looks Like A Windspire
But It's totally Redesigned in EVERY WAY!

It's the Most Technology Advanced Patented Vertical Axis Wind Turbine on the market today!

• The Generator
We knew we had to start with a new generator, the older legacy generators did not produce enough power, and required an operational speed of 200 to 400 rpm's before electricity could be fed the electrical grid. During installation of the legacy generator, the customer actually had to gap the generator. If the gapping process was not done correctly within a thousandth of an inch would prevent the wind turbine from rotating. We have enlisted group of German engineers into the Windspire project that have helped us create the perfect series of generators for a whole new line of wind turbines in several different power ranges. The new Windspire Series IV generator now has more than double the power of the older Mariah version, and currently operates in the more effective 100 to 350 rpm power range. This new generator technology is entirely exclusive to the Windspire Series IV vertical wind turbine

• The Inverter
There was no question that the inverter built into the old Mariah turbine had to go. This inverter failed so many times. for so many reasons that customers were at a loss at the exponential number of inverters they would have to replace over the life of their turbine. There are so many issues with this inverter being outdoors, unventilated, along with susceptibility to heat from the sun, Moisture issues, bugs, etc, the list goes on and on. We actually wondered how the generator and inverter were ever certified in their present configuration. We decided to implement an indoor unit that is ventilated and protected from the elements, along with an LED control screen that could be easily read at a glance, you know how the turbine is operating at all times.

• The Turbine Controller
The controller that was build into the old legacy inverter is now gone along with the Inverter. The combination inverter controller was a complete failure, the key element, turbine braking, caused too many wind turbines to completely fail. Our new controller has the latest in Programmable Logic Control with adjustable sensors. This new controller is a completely separate unit that can be accessed via the Internet for remote troubleshooting, and viewing your controls.

• The Giro Mill
In reviewing the performance of the old legacy Giro and the various issues that this design was faced with, we decided to eliminate unneeded parts and clamps and go with an easy to assemble, much stronger support pole and spreader system. The wind blades are exactly the same, but the way they are attached to the spreaders is improved. Using our past knowledge of wind foils, we know that with a few blade position adjustments we could increase lift and output torque by 18%. The result is more turbine power connected to a higher performance generator, a great accomplishment in this new Series IV.

• The Top Pole
The top pole shaft on the old legacy models was 20 ft long and a real nightmare to ship. Owner expense for an over sized crate was unbelievable. There was no engineering reason why this top pole could not come in two or three sections if the adapters were designed correctly with a precision fit. We have engineered a series of designs and are now in the process of testing them.

• Easy Tilt Leverage Pole
We made the determination that we had to consider the owner and include a pole that can raise and lower the turbine for installation and maintenance. Every Series IV comes with a specially designed base plate with a pole attached to the base pole. All you do is unclip the pole, add the steel cables, loosen the base plate bolts, and attach the cable to a truck and lower the turbine onto any support that can hold the turbine and keep the foils off the ground. New owners will now be able to have piece of mind doing simple inspections and not feel as helpless as old Mariah owners were. The old Gin Pole that was sold as an option cost over a thousand dollars, and only a few were actually made. This left owners having to pay a contractor to lower the unit at a great expense.

• Off Grid Models
The older turbine was never offered as an off grid configuration because the inverter and controller required house power to turn on and operate. There were designs on the drawing board but this never happened at Mariah. After taking inquires for a year from our website it became certain that there are a lot of potential customers that wanted a silent vertical axis turbine for the cabin or home for battery charging or for an emergency power source. We were able to develop a unique system that could satisfy the off grid wind turbine buyers. We developed a DC single phase generator with built in rectifiers, a battery operated turbine controller and a battery charge controller from the biggest name in off grid electronics. We even included a solar hybrid connect so the customer could benefit from the wind and the sun. Off grid systems have to be custom designed and made to match customers power requirements, which we are always glad to do

• Special Coatings
The Series IV turbine has a special applied paint that is resistant to all the elements. We have even taken special notice on the interior of the drive shaft and base pole so that no rust can effect bearing performance later on. Interior rust on the old Mariah was a major issue causing bearings to fail and cease after a years time. Condensation was never addressed on the base pole or long drive shaft, the raw steel sweating drained into the bottom bearing and magnetic bearing plunger causing failures. The Series IV turbine has a special applied paint that is resistant to all the elements. • Warranty Information
The problems that were evident in the old legacy Mariah turbine were never address by engineers nor the subcontractors that were setup in Michigan at great expense to the states tax payers, to fabricate the metal parts and build the Inverter. Even though these problems existed for years very little was done by any parties to make critical changes. Even though customer after customer complained, everyone looked the other way until the Mariah company had to fold. However, these companies are still in business which is amazing to a lot of old customers.

Every single issue that has been expressed by owners of the older legacy Mariah systems has been addressed and fixed. This gives us the ability to proudly say that we can warranty the Windspire Series IV like no other wind turbine on the market today.

The Windspire Series IV was designed and built by Windspire Energy of Wisconsin solely, a metal fabrication company that has in house engineers that watch over quality control, and not outside investors who dictate policy and force sales. One turbine from one plant manufactured by professionals.

The new Series IV owner will have peace of mind knowing that this wind turbine is backed by a group of highly professional and diversified companies that always have the customer in mind.

Behind every product there has to be a strong warranty in order to develop consumer confidence. The Series IV turbines have a warranty for 3 years on the generator, 5 years on the Inverter, and 10 years on all structural parts.
