Permitting

Many local communities are quickly implementing new small wind turbine ordinances. Some municipalities still require special use permits.

Most small wind ordinances focus on a few things:

Height – The Windspire was designed to fit under most local height restrictions (national building code is 35 feet, and the Windspire is 30 feet tall)

Noise – Windspire wind turbines are virtually silent. They will not exceed noise requirements or disturb your neighbors. Download the Windspire Acoustic Report here.
